Workplace Communication – Action Management Associates

Solving problems in workplace communication.

Rapid innovations in technology no longer confine communicating in the workplace to an office, a building, a city, or even a continent. Communication in the workplace has become a real-time process—even when work groups are scattered across the globe.

Enhancements in the ways organizations can communicate do not ensure that effective communication is always occurring. Real-time communication can provide immediacy but it cannot ensure clarity. Market complexities and the demand for faster results can create dynamics that actually inhibit effective communication in the workplace—especially when teams are focused on solving business problems.

The concepts taught in Action Management’s critical thinking training programs can improve communication in the workplace by providing individuals throughout an organization with a common language and consistent approach to problem solving and decision making that work across functional, divisional, geographic, and cultural boundaries. Action Management teaches easily applied processes and universally applicable tools for determining the root cause of problems, developing creative solutions, making effective decisions, and implementing decisions while preventing future problems. During our workshops individuals learn information processing techniques that they can use to communicate more effectively—and solve problems faster.

AMAI’s Problem Solving & Decision Making (PSDM) workshop is available in English, Spanish, Japanese, and Portuguese.
